Who We Are

Campbell River/Courtenay District Labour Council (CRCD) strives to bring together social justice entities in our community to educate and work for fairness for all. CRCD Labour Council currently represents 10 local unions. We meet monthly at Halbe Hall in Black Creek to hear reports from affiliates, to plan events or strike support, and to educate partner organizations about current CLC/BC Fed Campaigns.

Our goal is to bring together local unions and activist groups to share our struggles and triumphs. We host an annual Labour Day Picnic, Day of Mourning and Miners’ Memorial. Our Council is active in supporting every level of local government and lobbies local politicians on issues that affect working people.
